Frequently Asked Questions
How are end-users counted?
End-users are the accounts that your software's customers log into. Each unique active end-user account counts toward your plan limit.
What happens if I exceed my plan's user limit?
When metered overage billing is enabled for your account — you hold an active paid subscription and metered billing is configured — end-users beyond your plan's included limit are still authorised — no disruption to your service. The overage seat count is reported to Stripe as a Usage Record and appears as a line item on your next monthly invoice. If metered billing is not enabled for your account, new end-user accounts are blocked once the limit is reached; upgrade your plan to continue.
Can I upgrade or downgrade?
Yes — change your plan at any time from the Billing page in your portal. Changes take effect immediately.
Is overage billing automatic?
Yes — when metered overage is enabled, overage seats are reported to Stripe automatically via Usage Records each time a new end-user is authorised past the plan limit. The overage charge appears on your next Stripe invoice at the end of the billing period; no manual action is needed.
Is billing monthly?
Yes, all plans are billed monthly. Metered overage charges are calculated at the end of each billing period based on reported Usage Records and appear as a separate line item on your Stripe invoice.
What does "metered" mean for overage?
Rather than blocking access or requiring an immediate extra charge, metered overage lets service continue uninterrupted. Stripe tracks the reported overage seat count (using its Usage Records API) and bills the total at the end of each billing period — the same way usage-based SaaS pricing works.
What payment methods are accepted?
Payments are processed securely through Stripe, supporting cards, Link, and other methods enabled in your region. Contact support to discuss additional arrangements.
